1. What is Subclass 500?

The Subclass 500 visa allows international students to study full-time in Australia for the duration of their course. It also provides part-time work rights and dependent visas in some cases.

2. Eligibility Requirements

  • Valid Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)
  • Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE)
  • Proof of funds
  • English proficiency (IELTS/PTE/TOEFL)
  • Health insurance (OSHC)
  • Police clearance

3. Document Checklist

4. GTE Requirement

  • Your future plans after returning to India

5. Financial Requirements

You must show sufficient funds to cover:

  • Tuition fees
  • Living expenses (approx. AUD $24,505/year)
  • Travel costs

Funds can be in the form of bank statements, fixed deposits, education loan sanction letter, or sponsor income proof.
